Mahogany Bookshelf

Mahogany Bookshelf made by Wood Werks Supply team member and woodworker, Bill Casey:

“My latest project was 3 custom bookcases I built for my father. To allow for easy transport and delivery, each bookcase was constructed in 6 break-down components: 3 Bottoms and 3 tops. I used 3/4” Mahogany plywood for the sides, back and shelves, 5/4 African Mahogany for all the front trim as well as the shelf edging, and 4/4 African Mahogany to build up the crown molding. I also added Curly Maple veneer accents to the top of each unit just below the crown molding. Fluting detail on the stiles and a nosing profile on horizontal trim give the cabinet a more classic look. Finishing was a breeze with Festool’s Suffix oil kit and two coats of Festool’s One-Step Oil. Turned out pretty cool! My Dad loved it!”
