Strip Canoe build by Wood Werks Supply customer and woodworker Brad Burns and his son...

“I agree with Todd Damon’s comments on the satisfaction of building something you can then take out in the water. My son and I built a strip canoe using poplar (since western red cedar was not available locally). We used walnut for accent strips and the gunwals. After staining, the poplar has a cedar look to it now. We then made our own oars to finish off the project. We now take it out on the local river (Auglaize River).” -Brad
