Laguna Tools P|Flux 1.5HP HEPA 1Ph 115V Nominal CFM 1314
Ratingnicely designed dust collectorNicely packaged and arrived safe. Assembly 4 hours, and I found the manual fairly well written with good photos. I think it helped to read through it first to visualize what one is doing.
I would suggest three changes to the manual:
1. p11 (remote set): change to "on the bottom of the dust collector switch panel
2. p25, add dimension for how far sensor should be below drum lid, and
3. p28 (assemble drum): add "Check that screw holes on the lower lip of side pieces are all on the bottom to attach drum bottom"
Now that it's assembled, works great! Easy to remove chips and move around.
RatingPerfect for a condo basement workshopThis was delivered quickly from the manufacturer. After the fact I worked with Brian at Wreks to get my 10% credit. Perfect. This machine is running at 70 dbs in my basement workshop, my neighbors on either side can not hear it.... perfect. It does trip a 20 amp breaker every once in awhile. consider having your electrician run a 30 amp circuit for this.
RatingNice tool, major assembly requiredThis arrived safe and sound and well packed in a very large and heavy box. The manual states it takes 2 people to do (which is true) and about 5-6 hours of labor to assemble (also true.) The manual is rather poorly written, dark photographs make what is being referenced hard to see. There are also missing steps and out-of-sequence steps in the manual. Also, there was no plug end on my power cord and in the manual there is no discussion about the power cord. The fit and finish of the tool is OK, but there was a blatant factory flub-up with some mismatched welds on the assembly, despite the tag left on the machine stating the importance of the welds to match. (?) overall its a nice unit, despite these issues right out of the box.
